Hi, I have an upcoming phone interview at Amazon for data engineering role. I feel I have serious lacking in python leetcode, and data modelling/warehousing. I have two options 1) appear and fail 2) ask them to delay by 1 to 1.5 months. I am worried that if I fail they might not consider me again for 6 months to maybe 1 year. If I delay, the position could be closed as it has been open for quite a while. Please advise.

Go for the challenge. People are invariably more resilient than we think. Also, your first experience might have been tough due to the newness of challenges. You know how to manage it better now...can identify the minefield better and adopt better. Think about it this way, what if it all goes right, how proud would you be of yourself of doing great at a job that scared you

Thank you. The issue the previous times has been the people involved. Its a tough industry and role.

I dont know what to do.
These decisions are usually so tough. Do you think the job with the offer will heighten the ptsd? You have to weight the pros on cons on this one.

Dont know if it will heighten the ptsd or not sure if its the fact that ive been wfh 2.5 years and now would have to drive 40 mins to and from 3x a wk. not sure if wfh just got me comfortable that everything about working in an office freaks me out from rushing in the mornings, leaving my dog, and the stress of the job and im not good at poker face so wfh was so easy for me
