So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I assume you are going in as a 계약직. They can't fire 정규직 after 3 months of probation without right cause (..theoretically. but if they want to out they'll find a way to get you out), but if you are a contract worker there's no guaranty if you'll be a 정규직 after one year.
When I was in Korea big 4s used to hire 3 month interns and then convert them to full time emps, but since everyone's desperate to get a job now they can hire people on longer contract terms I guess. This was not a norm when I was in Korea which was back in 2016.
Now, korean big 4 is bleeding ppl left and right so I think there's a good chance you'll be a 정규직 if you grind out the 1 year and do a decent job. I'd also check the pay to see if your comp/benefit is similar to 정규직s.
I should have clarified; it's 3 months probation. I omitted some confidential part and accidentally deleted the 3개월 part.
