You can do better

My god don’t take this. I have a little over 3 in the same spot as you, so granted slightly more work experience, but I’m easily getting quoted in the $200K range for all in comp. Granted this is a lot of equity, but all of those calls are at a minimum $130K in cash. Horrible offer don’t take it.

And those $200K numbers are for a lot of roles that are remote. So not even SF or NY based.

It’s reasonable given your work experience and the industry. Retail is not high paying.
I would consider growth opps though, typically in that situation you describe (D2C acquired) the company is not doing well. Situation specific though so do your due diligence.
Def low ball
Extremely low, might be worth it if your WLB is insanely good (15-20 hours)

You can do way better. I have seen C exits for 2.5x this amount
This post must be a joke. Are you asking if 35% pay cut sounds reasonable? What benefit are you potentially getting in exchange for the pay cut?
First time realizing BCG sponsor at PL lever. McKinsey sponsor once you are two years in
Big lowball you can do better
What is WE? I want to make 220. Lol
work experience! Sorry for the acronym haha
Retail pays low.
Thanks all, this is super helpful. I really like the product / company strategy, plus the team I’d be working with seems like a good fit. Not a 9/5, but hours also don’t feel as bad as BCG, so definitely some improvement in WLB too. But the comp felt low to me, so I’m glad to hear others feel similarly.
I’m going to try pushing to increase the base to 160+ (I get the sense they won’t budge on equity because of some hurdles with the parent company). Any tips for how to handle this conversation? New to it all, so would appreciate any and all advice :)
I think the latest data suggests something like 70% of leavers match or beat comp
