It’s natural to consider going back to an old company because it feels familiar and even safe. But things happened for a reason, better to not go back. If you were laid off, that someone in that group values you less than your peers.....if you go back, you could start with that perception of your capabilities as baggage. Go to the new company.
Take the internal role.
Why return when they were so rough with you? Find your wings and pick up some other skills. If you want to come back in a year or so, you'll come back higher. You might find the internal role gives you more flexibility and security.
Agree with everyone else. Don’t value a company that didn’t value you. Use this as a new opportunity to start fresh :)

If you are getting higher pay why do you want to come back? Try something new while you are young!
If you didn’t have another job I’d say come back, but I say take the job. Come back in 6months - year if you don’t like it
