What's the requirement to travel back to the US?
Hi Londoners ,
Moving in from outside UK.
Looking out for some areas in west / NW London where one can live with an infant on max 1400£ rental while requiring one partner to travel to Central occasionally for work and the other person 3 days a week to LHR.
Some Qns:
1) Will 1 Bedroom be too cramped for the infant to grow up? Should I raise budget?
2) I prefer being in family /childcare friendly areas. Had Harrow, Acton in mind . Are they good for my budget or any other suggestions?
TIA Deloitte @

Booked the Westin! Very excited! If anyone has any fishing (or other) recommendations let me know! Sadly i trust Fb people more than TripAdvisor
Have fun!!!!
I stayed at the Westin a few years ago and we got a really good rate. It was just remodeled so very nice but no extras for platinum or anything
Thank you! What did you think about the rooms / pool area?
I stayed at the Westin and the Ritz in a single trip (scouting wedding locations). The Westin is fine, the ritz is great. However, the ritz is both residences and a hotel. The residences get the beach side, the hotel gets a lawn / road view. And it’s a trek to the other side of the hotel. But it’s a great hotel. The Westin beach is fine, but it’s just basically a public beach - nothing magical. It’s nice though
Yes - typically tapas sort of food, with drinks and such. We spent more lunch/happy hour time in there than breakfast (I’m a stickler for egg whites/oatmeal), so I’m not sure about that meal in particular. We did room service for that
Unless you book a rate with lounge access at the Ritz you won’t get access. It’s usually a steep fee for lounge access at the Ritz.
Thanks all! Did anyone play golf or go fishing while there?
It’s a huge diving Mecca. Avoid the cruise ship crowd - they arrive in the main part of the pier area downtown every day - they’re usually gone by 5pm But there is a great restaurant by the pier that is not to be missed.
I went to Marriott years ago and didn’t like it. Plain and beach amenities basic. Not worth it
