4 years ago I worked at the reception of a hotel and resigned after 2 years waiting for a promotion, now I am a sales manager in a company where I started to work after leaving the hotel.
It took me 8 years to reach my first promotion, it was not easy to get noticed, but in the end, everything came to light, after those 8 years everything was a race to the top, and now I am the manager of one of the branches of the Marriott hotel chain
Since I started I decided that I did not want to be where I was but to go higher, I was always the first to arrive from my shift and the last to leave, at the same time I always helped my colleagues from those who were below me to those who were above me, in 3 years I was promoted, and my coworkers fully support me.
I've worked at a hotel front desk for a little under two years and I haven't received a promotion yet. I think it generally takes a while to get promoted, but it really depends on the individual hotel.
I've been at this job for almost two years now and I've seen a lot of people come and go. It's definitely not an easy job, but it's one that can be very rewarding if you're willing to put in the work. I think it took me about a year and a half to get promoted to my current position. It definitely wasn't easy, but it was worth it in the end.
