I’m a partner at EY. It is not great but it ain’t bad.
This. We’re operating “ok” but we really need a jolt in the market.
Partner at EY here as well; agree with Partner1…we are just OK. I think the quality of our leadership has gone down significantly both in US and Global, some of them are just BAD! But us client serving partners are still fully committed to our clients and our people and we keep fighting the good fight. Let the “leaders” keep talking and doing all the BS…I don’t think it matters that much to be honest.
One word springs to mind, nepotism. There is a distinct lack of accountability in senior leadership roles and some of the decisions on the new batch of leaders are genuinely bad. Also, I reckon a portion of consulting will be spun out as so many services are replicated in EYP. That cash can be used to plug the Everest gap and make some new acquisitions.

Nope. Seems the usual market cycle stuff. Just things have been so much growth at EY that many aren’t used to it. Still way better than at Accenture where I came from. There is heavy penetration of Fishbowl, and gets all the gripes.

I went from ACN to EY and then EYP. So the perspective is EY. I found ACN had become very corporate, very industrialized. That wasn’t an accident, that was the plan. ACN became very good at building tools, methods, and training to make the actual people interchangeable. Good for investors, not so good for culture. I found EY was much more focused on the people and it shows in the culture. Much of the recent gnashing of teeth has been some erosion in that culture, but it’s still very strong. EYP is even more focused on the power of very high performers.
ACN pulled off a great quarter. I am quite curious if it's actual GenAI work for $500M or revenue getting tagged because of "a chatbot was used in BPO" type stuff
EY seems to be doing fine - especially seem to have a lot of SAP work. All my friends there have been talking non stop about SAP and Microsoft
OP - I agree that Accenture isn’t doing as well as it used to because of the aforementioned changes.
That aside, analysts have been tracking organic and inorganic growth separately for quite a while now, specifically to be able to measure and forecast growth of the existing business separately from revenue boosts that come via acquisition. And the latest trajectory shows both increasing at a healthier clip than before. Now, that doesn’t mean we can keep it up for the entire fiscal year, but the point is our revenue growth is not just coming from acquisitions.
We are doing fine. Why do you think there’s a “hole”? What do you even mean by that.

I don’t think people understand that the number for Everest we’re really not a game changer. And will be spread over a few years and a hundred countries.
Is there really a hole at EY USA?
Ha ha, nah I left
