For B4 - For teams with temp (contractor) seniors - I’ve noted that they are held to the same work quality standards of normal full time seniors, while not getting any of the senior trainings or perks that would go with that perm role (just some basic survivals trainings at best), nor the access to the perm positions once they prove they can do the job. Then heard they are viewed as little higher than outsource teams (i.e., the offshore teams only given non-judgmental work). What’s your opinion?

Starting salary for senior in accounting advisory out of NYC (EY FAAS/Deloitte Accounting and Reporting advisory)? Just got an offer for both

Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever. They don’t even provide a computer or any other remote equipment for the completely remote position. Am I making a mistake? Also, can anyone chime in about being a 1099 employee?

I’ve always just submitted each timer as soon as I finish a task—“call with x re y” really doesn’t take that long even if I’m busy, and if I don’t do it immediately I’ll forget all those little I did in the morning by the time I go to bed. Hey folks, I'm getting an offer as a SC in EY UK. Presently I'm a manager with EY India (up for SM next yr Oct 2021). Comp is 55k range (haven't officially received the figure, a few more days it's expected, doing some homework before that).

I'll be moving with family. Wife may not immediately start working (,find a new job, we have a toddler daughter as well 2 YO).

I personally don't find this offer commercially attractive. Can someone offer some counter arguments?

How does comp change over time in industry? Managed to get a few offers, but they are all lateral moves on my current compensation. Also aware my compensation at a T2 increases my c.10-15% p.a. by just performing. What’s the trajectory like in industry? Am I going to regret this move? Thanks all
