Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

At a startup you do everything. He does a little bit of everything which seems like such a good learning opportunity
Avon the tough part is that I've been trying to come over to S& within pdubs to get more interesting work and despite the partners best efforts, he keeps telling me that S& has its own staffing problems and he can't move me. So now I'm stuck doing non interesting work that I feel is not challenging. I can either wait until I get promoted and ask for a formal transfer or go the route of a startup and learn more

OP, I truly feel your pain. We are having staffing problems of our own. I feel true strategy projects are far and few between now a days. Additionally, the bench is full across the board. I don't think the grass is greener on the other side from an insiders perspective. Keep your head up OP
Well depends on how much of a start up this really is? Provide more info? You will definitely lose the stability and benefits of working for a large company.
