Had a bad hiring experience from HSBC Bangalore. I was interviewed for a role in a team called traded risk. Cleared 3 rounds of interviews but the HR kept on negotiating on pay, to the extent of bargaining for 25k etc. Huge red flag.
HR kept on telling me that the business is not approving the hike.
This went on for 2 weeks.
I was asking for just 30% hike which is mostly the standard for people at my level, with a current pay of 18 LPA yoe 5 yrs. I decided not to join such a cheap company.

Are there any good paying weekend research/lab jobs in Austin Texas? Because I’m getting $23/hr as a research coordinator and know for a fact I’m being under paid lol all because I am “new to research” yet I have a bachelors is biology and have done research projects in school and have plenty of other work experience…. Anyways though, back to my question I need a side job to be able to afford ALL of my bills 🙂

Hi guys, I got an offer from x and i discussed that with my current. At 1st current said they can only give 30% increment. I said I can't stay with this cause i got 70% and expect at least 50%(as the 70% included VP and the current org don't have vp, they have bonus). Then they said they can do max 45%. I really wanted to stay here so I said okay to current. Then now hr called me and said they are matching the offer(no vp). What should I make out of it? What made them change their mind?

At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project.
