Hi Fishes, asking this for a friend working as SAP BASIS Consultant.
He performed well in TCS technical round and HR also seemed to be happy with his performance.
He asked for 8.5 LPA, his current CTC being 4.3 LPA, with little over 3 years of experience.
HR said they would call him later and after 4 days, HR called and said she was informed by management that they could only provide 6 LPA :(
Any idea why they offered him that less? He is very disappointed with the way things turned out to him

I am currently working with EY GDS in AWS department. The work I do is monotonous and lacks variety or Interest. Due to personal reasons I needed a job and took the first one I got, didn't think about career or anything. I am want to focus on my professional career now. I am 26, MBA (Finance), B.com. I have basic knowledge in SQL, Python, and expertise in Excel & PowerPoint & kinda good with statistics (never got a chance to explore more). What are my chances in getting a consulting job?

Off-topic.. but how do y'all deal with LinkedIn induced anxiety?
I mean I feel I am doing fairly well in life, have a good academic background, a well paying job, keep trying to continuously upskill also.. yet everytime I open LinkedIn I feel I am going nowhere. Everyone is getting promoted or moving abroad or winning awards. Even these 21-22yo kids have like 10 internships listed in their experience. 🤯
Can't even stay off of it, as I need it to network and find jobs. 🥲
