Dumb. Benefits employer. Employees take less days. Employees are not paid out for time accrued when they leave the company. There is no standardization for what is acceptable, so people hardly take any time.
I was thinking that it was benefiting the employer more as well. I didn’t even think about the payout part since you technically didn’t accrue it.
I think it's something that sounds great in theory but really isn't. From everything I've read, employees who have access to unlimited PTO take less PTO days on average than those with standard policies.
That is interesting. Do you find this kind of policy more in tech jobs or is it kind of all over?
