I did it the other way around. It’s hard because you’re essentially learning a completely new set of case law and procedure but doable. Find a mentor who will help you and do CLEs and read the Rutter Guide. I’d say it will probably take a year before you’re relatively comfortable.
Agree with this, but Rutter Guide is CA-specific. I would suggest signing up for law firm blogs and news alerts as well.
It’s the procedure that’s the big change and the formality. The Board is more “relaxed” in some senses, but court is a different animal. But I appreciate the info!
