So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?
Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

I only really use the jobs on Linkedin as reference for what's available. Once I find a few that I'm interested in applying for, I go directly to the job website. I'm sure you can get one just fine through Linkedin, but I've heard of a lot of scams happening there so I think it's best to go straight to the source or work with recruiters.
I applied to jobs on LinkedIn but the only responses I got were from applying directly on the company site like Accountant 1 said. Now I have a job upon graduation.
When I worked at pwc, I got the job via a linked in post. They do work and recruiters are also good too.
Yes and I was recruited from last and current employer from there. I’m also looking to hire for my tax department.
Hello, let me know of the tax position. Looking for one was laid off recently. Thanks
I did recently
I had a recruiter from my current company contact me via LinkedIn. I got the job but I didn’t apply for it on LinkedIn.
How I got my current job.
Yes, my current position.
Some will reroute you to the company’s website or some/smaller companies just ask for resume through the LI posting. My current company is a smaller company, so I just submitted my resume there.
Just make sure you’re submitting your resume to actual companies and no super personal info on resume, like address, etc
I got my last job on LinkedIn by directly InMailing a specific person maybe I got lucky and also once directly emailed a person's corporate email and got a job..
Got my current job by applying on LinkedIn.
Got my current job thru LinkedIn. I suggest getting LinkedIn premium as well.
Does anyone know if anyone is hiring in the Ventura County area? I am looking for a Senior Accountant or Staff Accountant position. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
Yep got my current role that way
Yes, I looked at a position in LinkedIn, contacted the recruiter listed, and it worked for me! Don’t give up!
I have not
I would apply on the company websites and use LinkedIn as a reference. Sometimes the positions are no longer available on the company site but still open on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is also a good reference for how competitive the position can be.
My current I got by applying for through LinkedIn. There are some scams on there but you can usually tell which ones they are. I wouldn't have gotten the job I have now if I hadn't applied on LinkedIn as it wasn't advertised anywhere else.
I did, and landed my current job, also my dream job. I consider myself very lucky. Husband has been trying with no success.
I got to a final round interview with a cold application on LinkedIn. But that’s the only one out of dozens of applications.
I find LinkedIn is really good for seeing if anyone in your network shares a job in their feed, then it enables you to reach out to them directly and get more connected with the decision makers on the role.
Yes, some of them will take direct to the company's website or the information will go directly to the company that set up the post.
