Does spotify have QA lead roles ?
Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

I haven’t received a job myself through a referral. However, I have helped other people get jobs by providing them with referrals.
Yes employee referrals are favorable to someone just applying and if you know this person and basically you are putting your reputation on the line with a referral. Internal recruiters love referrals it makes their jobs way easier in most cases.
No, but I have found out who my "friends" really are. Get ready to see the mask slip on a lot of people who you think that you are on good terms with.

Yes, weak connections can absolutely work. A friend of a friend often feels more comfortable referring you than a close contact, and many roles get filled through these loose networks. Sometimes a quick intro is all you need to get past the resume screen.
In today’s job market, your network matters. It’s hard to overcome tech that scans your resume and deletes you based on your content alone. You’ll never get seen unless you play the game or have a network or contact in the company and or industry you seek employment.
Connect personally with all referrals, let them learn about you. Have lunch, coffee and help them help you.
I was able to land an interview after getting a referral. I didn’t end up getting the job, but I’m fairly certain there were just stronger candidates in the pool. Still, I think it’s worth it to get your name closer to the top of the list. Curious how others approach deciding when it’s worth seeking out a referral, especially if you don’t already have a direct connection.
Not really. Even my closer referrals don't really amount to much most of the time. I don't think referrals are as powerful as they used to be.
Yes. It's how I got my current role 12 years ago.
Didn't work. Referal form friend's friend. HR asked me if I personally know that employee and I told the truth.
Worked with my current job. Been here over 6 years now.
