Does anybody have experience working at Onfido?
I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

UBER & LYFT puts tomorrow?
Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?
Any good cornhole leagues around?

Good points of explanation

Amazon folks - need to reschedule an inteview due to an unforeseen work commitment. Wondering if it's going to look bad/impact the interviewing chances if I were to ask for a reschedule? It's taken months of applying to get one so don't want to jeopardize but the current job committment is going to be difficult to get out of (unless I call in sick). Recommendations?

Shit pay
I've heard good things from people out of their Chicago office. I'm not entirely certain the regional model will be sustainable in the long run, but it's great when it works.
Explain the regional model
Interviewed there out of curiosity. They are a joke. Terrible pay. Went Big4 instead.
That said, if you want a local model with a great culture, I've heard really good things about Slalom. They seem to actually have a work-life balance, though they're not breaking any innovation barriers. Pick what's most important to you: Pay, experience, work-life balance, career opportunities, networking, etc.
Top goal is to get to Pacific Northwest so Point B would be a means to an end. Work there couple of years, make contacts and then bounce for a local company.
Why not just transfer within EY? Alternatively, get staffed out there long-term. My friend had a long-term gig and made a business case that corporate housing was cheaper than a hotel and flight every week. He ended up moving there for a year while his project wrapped up and then he got a local job. Try to get EY to pay for it if you can!
I'm in FSO and EY only has National Advisory there. It's sometimes easier to quit and get rehired between FSO and National.
