Absolutely would not do this, the WLB is the main factor. I wouldn’t go back to a partner for an additional 100k a year
Are you pure Salesforce or SFI? SFI doesn’t have the same WLB as Salesforce
we have 401k match, wealth builder, unlimited SL, generous PTO and holiday shutdowns. our health plan is mehh… what level are going for in pwc?
Culture wise, there is a huge focus on being broader than Salesforce or cloud enablement skillsets at PwC. I have seen cross-LOB partnerships that bring real depth to engagements by having different voices and industry expertise outside of core Salesforce / cloud technology / digital enablement skills. I compare this to working at Accenture, where on a project we had Accenture for the technical implementation and a Big 4 firm for the change management work stream (you can fill in the blanks why).
Partner is a long path but even if you don't make if there, you should pick up enough experience and compensation that making Partner may not end up being your ultimate goal ... the level of skill and tenacity required to sell work and create leverage within your teams is not something many will end up aspiring to reach.
Consider wlb, consulting is not well regarded in that sense
As a fellow Industries person, if you're currently working on SFI I think it's a very high chance you'll end up working on only SFI projects at PWC. I would consider switching over to Core for better WLB and to avoid getting pigeonholed to SFI longer term.
Really would love to get out of SFI after the acquisition but seems impossible to move to Core without management experience which I don’t have a path to at SFI. So potentially go to PwC, grind until Manager/SM then come back to core
