Has anyone recently gotten a verbal offer, but then been told there’s a relocation requirement, particularly away from a high COLA area? This didn’t come up at all in prior conversations and I’m worried. Relocation is not an option for me, even if they pay me. Is there a possibility this is just a formality and I won’t have to commit to it in order to take the offer? FWIW everyone i’ve spoken to so far is remote and geographically all over the place.

I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. They also want to give me a clearance but it will start as an interim so I can work sooner than may. MY DILEMMA: Kbr states that they know I need money now so I can accept an offer with Northrop to see if I like it until may.BUT can I have 2 security clearances running at the same time?
