Has anyone successfully relocated at EY (same service line)? If so, I was wondering if the firm does a cost of living adjustment. I'm moving to the northeast area, where base salary is 4k-5k more.

I relocated from NYC to SF and they kept everything the same

like

Usually it's kept the same, and then adjusted with your next annual increase

I relocated and got a COL adjustment. Went from Central region to West. The COL adjustment was immediate.

Thanks all. I got the approval recently to relocate but no word on COL adjustment yet. It would suck to make significantly less than those at same level.

One of my senior managers moved from NYC to Dallas. He got his COL adjustment as well as a raise to move, plus reimbursement of moving expenses. And if he had owned property in NYC, the firm would have bought it from him. Although he made sure his was a firm initiated move so he got a lot more than those that are initiating it themselves. I'm not sure how it works for self relocation but that's what he told us about his firm initiated move.

@EY4 - That's good to know. I haven't received any word on COL adjustment but will update here if I hear anything. So far it seems like it will be next annual increase as @EY2 mentioned.

Due to a recent company-wide increase and additional pay for bilingual direct reports I am only making a dollar and change above them as their supervisor. I was hired into this position in March, having been the first employee in this department. I really tried to get them to budge on salary, they did not, but shortly after accepting they gave the whole company a dollar raise.

Any suggestions on how this might be addressed?

Switching team internally competing with external candidates. was asking a promotion for next grade midpoint but was ok to accept >=50% hike which i told hiring manager before the process start itself which he said will consider if I'm the one selected.

Attended 5 rounds-- 1 coding, 2 technical, 1 managerial, 1 hr. Now after 2 months telling me I'm the selected one, but offering me just 20% hike and same grade

Any chance for negotiations? Any tips or guidance are appreciated. please help

I was told by my manager that I’ll be getting a promotion and a comp raise about a month and a half ago. It hasn’t happened yet and he keeps saying HR is slow to respond. Is there anything that can be done or do I just keep waiting around?

Hi Everyone. I completed my 1 year in EY in October 2022. And in my profile, they have updated it to Senior Analyst now. But that was a progression that happens every year and I have not received the incremented salary.

Now that they are giving increments to everyone, will I receive both progression and increment or my progression will be counted as increment.

Highly confused.

At what point in your career do you think you find out if you are actually on the partner track or not? For reference, I just got promoted to manager and get lots of talks about “things I should do as I continue to progress through the firm”, but I wasn’t sure when or if this is communicated to people in more certain terms. Maybe looking at the number of years it takes to get promoted from M to SM could be a good indicator?
