Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? Capital one Venture X is great. Good sign on bonus, excellent travel partners, $300 annual travel credit, 10k points annually, 2x points on all non travel purchases
If you’re going to spend atleast $300 on travel every year, this is essentially a zero fee card. Added advantage is you can add additional card members for free and they can each get unlimited priority pass. Given you have expenses coming up, you can easily meet min spend to get the sign up bonus of 75k

If you’re willing to take the time, I love that I have paired in my Chase Sapphire reserve with the Chase Ink business cash. I buy Visa and mastercard prepaid cards at Staples and Office Depot to get the five times points when office stores have their promotions twice a month.
Thanks for explaining this!
Depends on where you want to go. General rule of thumb is to open partner agnostic cards (chase ink business cards, Amex gold, Amex platinum) and then move onto specific brands you want to stay at (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt).

Get all the large SUBs. I'd recommend all the Inks first to stay under 5/24.
There’s several Amex businesses cards with large (200k) offers or the venture x business that need a lot of spending.
I have Southwest credit card bc fly with them pretty much monthly or more. It’s a good card and if you spend a lot you get companion pass and you get to fly buy one ticket get one free essentially with your partner. I like the Amex platinum as far as sign up bonus (I saved all my sign up points and converted them to Hilton points during one of the promotions. Basically turned 100k Amex points into 280k with Hilton. Which was enough for 7 nights stay with them. ) I mainly love it for the lounge access though which you likely have with your sapphire. Just my two cents.
