I go back and forth - simple 3 fund/ETF portfolio for Roth IRA and/or brokerage account vs. mixture of ETFs and high flying tech stocks. My conservative and lazy side makes me lean the former, but when I look at the returns of some of my individually held stock, I'm tempted to be more active (maybe than I need to be) in buying individual stock. Trying to rid myself of ID work and get into commercial lit at big shop. I’m just about a year in, and so I was wondering if it makes sense to go to a smaller/midsized shop first then see where I’m at in 3-5 years if big law is still a goal.
