Ask for a few recent examples of difficult business decisions (ie ones that involved real tradeoffs, sacrifice, or risk) or investments that were driven by agency values
“Is this a brand new role or will I be replacing another designer?”
Because that allows me to assess whether the company has a high turnover of employees in the role. Remember to think of stuff that’s important to you as well. It shows that you are looking for stability and not trying to use that job as a springboard for something better.

“How would you think the team would describe their manager? Would you be agreeable to putting me in touch with someone on the team, who operates in or close to this role, so I can get a direct sense of what things are like on the ground?”
“How would you describe the agency’s strengths and weaknesses?”
“What is the agency’s stance on inclusivity and diversity, and how have they committed to upholding that through initiatives or policies?”
I wouldn’t ask that question. Ask, we spoke about the technical aspect but what soft skills are valued here? If interviewing with manager, “What projects are you working on that I could help you with?”
