Does anyone work fewer than 5 days and have a management role at their agency? I work 4 days and am being told it’s holding back being considered for a promotion.
Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.
Any other IL 🐠 who worked in NY also get double taxed? Anyone figure out how to get around this? Just got off the phone with IL and it seems like every state can have their position and we just pay2x
I have a salary range in mind for a new role based on online research and target increase from my comp now. But my research shows the data points are for salaries in HCOL areas. Do I need to adjust what I ask for if it’s a remote role and I’m not in HCOL city? Don’t want to overshoot and lose a great opportunity.
Interviewed for a job late 2018. Accepted another offer. A day later, the first job reached out and I told them. Lost job for going to HR over a verbally abusive boss. Is it weird to reach back out...

Anyone else have a personal and/or work space that’s just absolute chaos? I haven’t managed to keep my bedroom/office clean for more than 1 day since COVID (granted it was also messy in the before times). Every surface is covered in laundry / dishes / papers / tech / cosmetics. God forbid my webcam ever shifted from it’s usual position and revealed my quarters to my coworkers (or clients!) Pls tell me I’m not alone in being a fairly well-adjusted adult with the bedroom of a teenager :|
How to deal with an exploding offer? I interviewed for a company and was very excited for it. 1 recruiter interview & 1 with a couple team members. Then I got a short term offer a few days later, tried to negotiate and they came back a week later with a final offer. Rate stayed the same but was told I need to answer by next day. Honestly the process has made me so stressed. I'm interviewing with another company at the same time and their process feels warm & they take their time answering
How do you keep from getting discouraged while job hunting? I’ve had 3 final round interviews in the past month and gotten passed over each time. Their reasoning is always “we went in a different direction”. Each of the interview processes was 4-5 interviews so it’s a big time commitment and really gotten my hopes up each time.
Would anyone recommend any recruiters or head hunters you have used for exit opportunities
Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.
Anyone from Accenture T&O know if you’re hiring?
I know it’s subjective. But how many interview attempts on an average fishes here took to crack offers with MBB? Does re-applying have any advantages?
Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?
Anyone in Big4 audit financial service (Pittsburgh or NYC)? 3 years of experience from a mid-tier firm, CPA , looking for referral.

In a predicament folks .. my new employer hired me into a full time role into the US but the immigration team has only done a TN for 10 months due to some administrative mistakes and now the paper work is done. I am working to see how i get this addressed as I cannot even sigh a lease for a 1 year place or lease a car if my status is under 1 year. I am confident they will renew me but it puts me in a jam. Any advice on this? Has anyone seen this?
I am a fresher. Have 3 months experience. About to get terminated cuz i couldn't clear an assessment. Worked on a full stack application during my training. Shall I tell the interviewers of my upcoming interviews that i have been terminated? Also, does this training experience count as work experience and will it be an advantage for me during interview ?
I’ve seen a lot of post on FB about BCG Platinion that lean to the negative side. I am being approached by a recruiter for a position in Europe. Anyone willing to provide more detail on their experience? Maybe willing to chat? I’m also curious if I should be pushing for principal. They mention PL, but that seems like a step down. Thanks, fam! What is it like being a partner ? What kind of life do you guys have ? Skill sets that can bring you to the top and things which can break your career ? I am currently a senior and wonder is it worth the grind ? At BIG 3 people become partners in like 10 years or so but big 4 it’s more like 15-17. Would it be worth hustling for it grinding 13 hours days consistently for years to become a partner at like 40-42? PwC Deloitte EY Boston Consulting Group McKinsey & Company

I have a standing offer with Accenture (AFS). Due to coronavirus, the recruiter told me they are pausing staffing of external people like myself while they take care of internal people on the bench. My recruiter said he would touch base monthly during covid, but usually I’m the one to reach out to him. We haven’t spoken since mid March, so should I reach out? I totally understand if they’re still in the same position as before and nothing changed since mid March in terms of hiring.
Any PE firms particularly known for hiring from MBB? I’ve been doing my own search but looking for more insight
Submitted a resume to a recruiter for a job last Monday. They called me within 2 hours and asked to schedule a phone call. The call went well, and they sent me all the necessary paperwork they need me to sign. I signed it within the hour and sent them an email saying I’m looking forward to working with them. Haven’t heard anything back since then. Is that weird? Does the recruiter actually think I am a good fit for the role? She sent me the name of the company and everything.
How do consultants incorporate %’s into resume when you’ve worked on 6481538474 engagements? (All my current bullet points are generalized)
