First suggestion decide how you want to apply degree. Meaning do you want to work toward being a Public Service Leader or do you want to help Public Service Leaders. Use degree vs Apply degree. The latter being focused on consulting. If the latter I would suggest internal industry badges and Business Analysis cert. To help leaders, understanding their world and what tools technology and processes can improve their results are paramount. If you want to lead project in Social Service space then PMP too. However all the above knowledge will contribute to your effectiveness as a PM.
Get out consulting and work in a smaller health tech company— you’ll learn by leaps and bounds.
If you want another degree an MBA can help propel to some extent. If you make over $100k now then your salary increase won’t be that substantial unless you land at MBB or opt to do M&A consulting. If salary isn’t a metric for success then the MBA will definitely allow you to explore and grow your network. I would only go if you are fully funded (scholarship or cash) otherwise it may be a nice long-game play but in the short term you’re missing out on income and potential progression.
What are your career goals? Consulting, public health org, academia, etc?
