Currently a CSM for a tech start up (REALLY EARLY STAGES) and have been there for almost 2 years. I do everything from CSM, HR, right hand to CFO and UX design for the app that we are building yet my title is CSM. I am looking for a better paying CSM job (70k+) or entry level UX design job. Can anyone please point me in the right direction or either ? Even if it’s learning more for a UX position. Through this job I found out I really love helping with that .

I received an offer for $74k as underwriting analyst. Company is based out of DC. Is $74k a good offer? Or should I negotiate for more. 6 years in the industry. 5 as an account manager/underwriting assistant

Was skipped over for promotion until later this year but offered title change to Senior Art Director. Do I take the title and hope the pay comes later? Or hold out for it all at once?

Any thoughts on what a typical manager salary should be? Associates all start at 75 at BSR but managers fluctuate. Is 120k on par with other firms? 2 years experience in consulting, 5 industry, MA, and a subject matter expert. Is expecting a 45k jump with a promotion crazy?

Looking for advice (& empathy): Started out in advertising, then became a journalist. Moved to the US for grad school, and back to advertising few years ago. Now stuck at a company where I’m deeply unhappy but they sponsor the visa (not H1B, so it’s not a huge ask). Also not too sure of advertising as my heart is still in journalism but this pays the bills. Tech companies who have gone remote since the pandemic: do you get a stipend for home internet or a mobile hot spot for when your home internet goes out? Some of my employees are having issues that directly impact their ability to join customer calls, but my company’s IT department doesn’t offer any support. Wondering if that’s still the norm.

Started at a big firm in July with high hopes- in the career path I wanted and I would be joining with other new grads.
After onboarding, it’s as if my team forgets about us every day. The training is non existent, there doesn’t seem to be any initiative to invest in new hires, my manager scolds me for not knowing enough yet gives no direction. Once you get into a FAANG company, is it better to stay where you are or move around? I’m a dissatisfied with my current job but I have vesting stocks, work 9-5, and people to know and respect me. I am the sole provider for my family and value quality of life and stability. I have some interview requests from other FAANG companies that I know pay more but I worry about starting over. Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?
