This seems pretty close to market for Big 4 in MCOL. Maybe $1K-$2K less than I’d expect. You want to make more than that you have to go to places like A&M or HL
I’m not 100% sure as I don’t work there but from what I’ve gathered through hearsay I think HL FDD analysts are making more like $90-$100K
Coach
Seems low
It does seem low, at least get the sign on to 5-10K
You’re coming in as a staff in mcol. Although a hair low, I think it’s within the “fair” range, just on the low end. Also are you a jd or cpa? That tends to make the bigger difference
Reality is a couple of K more isn’t anything in long run. It probably doesn’t hurt to try to respectively negotiate sign on. If it doesn’t help, but you really liked the team, accept and don’t think about if you are being underpaid by ~5k because it really doesn’t matter all that much.
What should the salary be after he reaches the 2 year mark?
Should have clarified - I'd be coming in as experienced staff level
They’re moving after 1.5 years, not even senior
Idk, I think it’s fair, assuming senior raise is good
This is right around my offer as well. 80k with a 5k signing/relocation
