That is a really great success story! Thank you for sharing that :)
I don't blame you for wanting to get out of the dog-eat-dog world of the legal system. I got my JD because everyone said I was smart and smart people need to be a doctor or lawyer. I get sick at the sight of blood, so that one was out of the question. After two years as a junior associate -- you can substitute that term for "gofer" or "flunkie" or "coffee girl" -- I left for the wilderness of corporate America after going back to college to get the business degree I wanted to get in the first place. In the "Captain Obvious" category, it sounds like the only way you can have what you have now in another field is to buy your own company. The good news is that all that stuff you learned in law school and the experience you have achieved since then are easily transferable and applicable in the business world.
