Have any of you done your own taxes? I want to this year, but I’m feeling a little unsure because all my coworkers use preparers. I hired someone back when I was a travel nurse through 2024, but last year was a lot simpler. I only have two W2s from my current job and an outpatient spot I left early in 2025. No house, no kids, no loans. I’m thinking about just hitting submit on TurboTax and calling it a day, but I don't want to mess up. Is it as easy as I think it is?

If your situation is as simple as you say, you shouldn't have any problem doing it yourself. People have come around to the idea that taxes can only be done by professionals, but in the vast majority of cases that's just wrong. If you don't have the complications that might require a professional you can do it yourself. You can download the pdf forms and mail 'em in old school, or find one of the free options to file online.

Turbo Tax all the way.. My husband and I have standard deductions and it cost $60.. Did taxes on February 1.. got the check direct deposit by the 4th !
Don't waste yourhard earned money on a preparer that can make mistakes ( caught simple math error at H&R block.. ).
It is easy and they walk you through it.

In your situation, absolutely. Assuming you don't have some kind of side hustle going, that is. That can complicate things. I've got kids, a house, a side business, as does my husband. Paying an accountant to do everything for us is worthwhile since there's so many different factors to consider. If I was you, I'd probably just go the TurboTax route. I've done it before and found it very straightforward.

Hello all, I need one advice.
I am working as SAP consultant for 3.6 years in same company now. I am going to make my first switch in one of the big 4 in SAP only.
The thing is that I don't really enjoy working in SAP. It was handed over to me when I joined my current WITCH company. Now I have decided to switch to Salesforce tech. For which I have already finished the Admin beginner part.(while staying in NP)
Please advise me if I am on the right track.
