What is the culture like, type of work and reputation of Capco in the Data & Analytics space?
I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I applied internally got a new promotion and a new role at christmas, 30 percent pay raise, and 15 percent annual incentive bonus. Went from 104k to 139k base pay. I'm not climbing if I am not getting paid. 😆
Tell me you're in Corporate America without telling me you're in USA ...#jk /s
Yep, I had a friend and my sister-in-law who recently got double promoted and still didn't get a pay raise. Apparently, the new big thing is to just climb up the ladder, not have a better life or better standards of living. Nothing makes sense anymore but we're all just supposed to make sense out of it.
Yep I was “promoted” got additional reports and no raise. So I was “rewarded” with extra work
My company went through a “title refresh” where the “manager” title went to “sr manager” and so on so forth a couple of titles up the chain. The benefits/workload did not change though.
If you’re getting additional responsibilities with that title bump, you also better be getting compensated for it.
What was the offer prior to accepting the role? I'm trying to understand what led up to the promotion where it wasn't discussed. I'm used to there being some type of paperwork/documentation associated with these changes, but maybe that has changed too.

Welcome to the new world where we are expected to be happy we even have a job. Companies have always under paid legacy employees based on the philosophy that everyone is replaceable. These days, that is even more true.
that's part of "quiet hiring"
It's not a unique thing. Especially with the ridiculous job titles that get tossed around these days.
Showing a little age, but there was an episode of Cheers where, instead of raises, Rebecca handed out title changes, selling it as a much more complicated process, therefore, worth more than a raise.
You're not imagining it. It's been my experience that I've seen companies hiring in new talent at a MUCH lower comp, specifically in the past 12-18 months. Gone are the days of getting a pay increase when you move to a new company, and I feel that this is holding true with promotions as well.
