Have you ever been stuck trying to help a company sell a product that just doesn't take off, one that never finds its groove? I know it's our job to make sure that it's reaching the people in a way that makes them feel like they want it even if they don't need it... but it's not so straightforward with every product. I sometimes want to tell my clients it's because no one really wants or needs their product, but that would be monstrous of me. What do you do when you're in a situation like this?

When I’m in that situation, I double down on market research to make sure we truly understand the audience and their pain points. Sometimes it’s a positioning issue, sometimes it’s a genuine lack of demand, and sometimes the product just isn’t solving a real problem.

Instead of telling clients “no one wants this,” I focus on data-driven feedback: I share what we’re seeing from customer insights, suggest tweaks to the product or messaging, and explore untapped segments or new use cases. If we still can’t gain traction, I recommend a strategic pivot or even product improvements, always keeping the conversation constructive and solutions-focused. At the end of the day, honesty paired with actionable insights helps everyone move forward.

Currently interviewing for a nontechnical role (final round is getting scheduled rn) and I see there’s a new job posting for a different role that I might be more excited by, for the same/associated team. What do I do?? Email my recruiter saying I want to be considered? Apply? How does going for two roles work? The referral from the original job I’m interviewing for has expired fwiw.

Does anyone know if this is normal? I joined a vault 100 firm in September last year. The firm put me on tier 7. In January I had the associate review and everything was normal. After a couple of weeks, I got the call from the hiring partner telling my bonus and new salary (because of the firm-wide salary increase). I realized I still get paid as a 7 year associate. The partner said because I joined the firm later in the year, it’s normal not to advance in the next year. Is it? Thanks!

Today I won a raffle for an Omega SMP 300. To show my appreciation to the watch gods, I am letting my current diver, the legendary SKX009 go for the same price as my raffle ticket ($38, shipping included). If anyone is looking for this hugely popular piece (ideally a new collector), hit me up! Currently sized to a 6.75” wrist but comes with all links. All hail the watch gods!

Hi! Wondering if it is still with the $$ to get certified in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt? I have my PMP and a MPH— but wondering if LSSBB is going to make much of a difference to hiring managers? Hello Fishs,

I have given 3 rounds of interview for the position of SE- B8 , i.e. Lead SE. Now in salary discussion round i asked HR for a CTC between a range of 31-34L. But they told me max they can give is 29.5L. I still did not accepted the initial offer from HR, it is going again one more round for salary negotiation after HR confirms the bracket from Business. I know Natwest dont negotiate once you accepted the offer. What CTC can i expect from Natwest for Lead SE.

Hello Everyone,

I have an offer from Cognizant, I get my offer revised with my counter offer.
Now again I have another counter offer, should I ask them to revise my offer letter again?

Hi Folks, I'm currently in search of a mentor. I'm a 28y/o MSc grad and starting a Junior Funding Consultant role (writing grant applications for startups) as I'm tired of holding out for an entry level role in ESG/Sustainability - I keep getting rejections despite completing a very wide ranging internship at a renewable energy company. Last year I received an offer at Deloitte Belgium but due to Brexit & VISA delays, we couldn't continue. Now I'm unsure of my career progression & need guidance.

I just got an offer from a company that I have mixed feelings about. Team seems great but Glassdoor reviews, not so much. However, I’m very early in the process so it will probably take a month or so to get to the offer stage with them. Should I take this role?
Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent to my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t grow my network as much, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)

I'm two thirds through the PMA Core Certification, and the info is great but the tests are a joke. They need to contract with an educator that specializes in testing and assessment to come in and develop exams that actually measure if you know the material. The bad test design devalues the certification. Not to zero, but I definitely will not be proud to have earned it. It just means I had $1300 and sat through 15 hours of video lectures.
