Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

Hi All,
I have joined cognizant yesterday. I came to know that office location is bantala in Kolkata. I do not want to work in bantala location. I have talked with my recruiter. But hs said offer location is decided on project allocation. How can I change the location to other location? If I leave the job will it be any problem?

That is frustrating and I'm sorry you had to go through that. I know you try your best to treat everyone kind, but when entitled people like that are your customers it's hard not to let it kill your mood. It's like their forget your humans.

You were right. It just kills you mood for atleast next 5-6 calls. Even though you want to give your best for next customers, you just can't.
Oh wow, yes. I’ve had customers talk to me like I’m their personal concierge. One even snapped fingers at me over the phone. You’re so right: kindness would go so far. How do you usually keep calm when someone’s treating you like that?
Pro
Some customers are just plain difficult. I always make it clear: if they want a resolution, this is the way, and I need their cooperation. I explain what’s possible and what’s not, no magic tricks here. Sometimes they act like I’m hiding a secret button that fixes everything, but nope! You simply can’t make everyone happy, and I’ve made peace with that.
When I've worked customer service I would wind up on the phone with some real winners. I always assumed a lot of them were people who lived kind of sad lives, and having the chance to boss somebody around was like a rare treat for them. The thing is, if someone was polite and easy to deal with, I would go out of my way to help them. But the nasty people just undermined themselves, and for them I would do the bare minimum, and sometimes I had to remind myself to do that.

They kind of bring that treatment on themselves. It goes both ways, if you need help, ask for it respectfully. Either way, we’re getting paid the same wage, not extra for dealing with bad attitudes, so why care right?

that entitlement is the worst! Politeness really does make all the difference. You’re doing great handling those tough calls with patience!
