I’m interviewing for a HR Tech support analyst role. I have 7 years of relevant experience. What salary range do you all think I should ask for??? The recruiter stated that they are offering 83K base salary. Is that good?? PLEASE HELP
Had my first recruiter call today. When they asked me about my comp expectations, I asked them to tell me their range first and they said that they couldn’t disclose it as it was confidential. However, if I told them my range, they could tell me if they could match it or not. Is this standard practice? I didn’t want to disclose my range first but they didn’t leave me with a choice. How do you navigate such a situation?
I just interviewed with a family law firm that also does crim and immigration as well. They pay as a commission, not salary. This is in DC and there are about 12 attorneys. First, what is a fair commission rate (35%?). Second, what salary expectations should I have?
Hi fellow Googlers,
Im looking for some guidance on comp discussion, I just passed my team match call and think I have a call with the recruiter to discuss compensation, I want to be prepared and not sound greedy needy. What would be your tips? Should I tell the recruiter my expectation or dodge the question and take the weekend to let them come back with a figure? How does this usually happen? This is my first time talking to a FAANG company. Its a Senior role in design 5YOE. Thank you!
Received a C offer for $115k and $10k sign-on bonus on the commercial side. Where does this fall on the band and others experience at that level?
My offer letter from EY gds says 10 percent variable.
Will I get all of that 10% yearly once, or just a part of it?
Is this variable same as bonus?
Got an offer for Atlassian Canada - senior product manager. Initial offer is 160k base +15% annual bonus (24k) + 20k sign on bonus. RSU is 220k USD payable over next 4 years. There's no RRSP match (401k match equivalent). Considering its Atlassian, and current market rate, I think base is low. I would like it to be bumped upto to 180k. The recruiter earlier said the top of the pay range is 165k, which I feel is not really top but maybe median? Help me negotiate please; historically suck at it.
Planning on having a conversation with my manager about my performance review and then I’m going to ask for a raise! Any tips on how to ask or structure the conversation? Also, what is a fair amount more to ask for? I’m thinking 15%.
Credit Suisse Pune or EY GDS Gurgaon.
Which one is better to join? Current location:NCR. Salary offered by CS is 2 lakh more

When is it time to ask about or even start thinking about a promotion?
I have been at my current agency for 15mo and it’s my first real job. Since Covid, I feel like I have a lot more responsibilities and have been doing what I think is AD and even senior AD stuff (especially the last two months since my agency laid off a bunch of people. Our team lost an ACD and AD).
The AD role is open on our team. I’m wondering if I should ask about it or not. What can I do to show them I’m ready?
Was given a significant raise recently, but I work under a Narcissist and was essentially demoralized and told I’m worthless through a review. Trying to keep my head up. I’ve lost confidence in myself which feels awful while applying.
Recently accepted a role with Optum as a Sr. Compliance Analyst. Base salary 83k with annual 7.5% bonus. I’ve been in the role about a month and I’m thinking I’m underpaid. Thoughts?
Unsure what I should anticipate in terms of bonus - anyone have a rough benchmark for AM Operations in the UK?
I'd initially joined a banking grad scheme in which we were 'exempt' from bonuses (using a temporary contract as a scapegoat) and the bonus with my follow up firm would have barely gotten me a Netflix sub. I have no real point of reference, but want to plan and can't exactly ask colleagues what to expect...
Hi everyone. Currently I work as a tipped employee, but I’m interviewing for a salary art gallery job and the annual pay is about half what I’m making at a restaurant! How do I negotiate that without seeming greedy? Or do I even say anything? Help (it’s my first salary job)

Slalom folks - I have my final interview tomorrow. I work in NYC with 3.5 YOE in data analytics and data visualization. Current base is 127k. Would asking for 150k be too low or high if I were to come in as consultant? Also, what is the heart expectation for raises? Thanks!

Thought: When you see diversity of skin color as the most critical factor you miss out of diversity of experience and ideas. Quite often these overlap, but there are a lot of people out there like JD Vance who come from poor white roots, but because of their skin color they’re assumed to have some magical privilege bestowed upon them by society.
Likewise, wealthy people of color are lumped in with their less affluent counterparts. We’re so quick to look at skin color and see the sum (cont’d)
Would anyone be able to help me make a connection to a recruiter you know at your firm? I’m seeing a lot of relevant postings at Deloitte / Accenture / etc in NZ but having difficulty getting traction (in Europe and trying to relocate permanently to NZ).
Currently at tech company and want to go back into consulting. Happy to have a quick chat on background etc first of course. I would really appreciate anyone who’s willing to help here!

Alright... I'm nearly done with my spreadsheet "masterpiece", quote unquote, and ran into an issue. I have index-matches pointing to a table, which I haven't really done before, and for some reason, everything works PERFECTLY, except for the data for the very first row. My index-matches that SHOULD be returning data from the first row of data in my table are instead returning the Headers, and I can't figure out why. Every other iteration of this exact same formula is pulling the right data.
