3 people were fired this week, and I've heard of 5 people leaving my group this week. Stuff is getting crazy...
Long story short: I work for a small healthcare consulting firm. Since COVID, I was going to the office once a week, every Wednesday. Today, I have put on my 2 weeks because I accepted an offer from a big 4. During my last 2 weeks, I had planned to see my family for the first week, and go to the office on my final week. Also today, my boss asks me to come in the office everyday next week. Should I say I don’t feel comfortable and just don’t go?What’s the worst it happen? Get fired lol
I'm on an engagement and a manager jokingly told a new associate "you're fired" and the associate jokingly said back "f*** you". Do you think that was appropriate? Should that get held against her?
As opposed to forcing layoffs, could a firm just request their employees to go on sabbatical for reduced pay?
How hard is it to get fired from a big 4? Asking bc I heard some people were “pressured” into quitting...
Anyone think it's odd how few goodbye emails we have gotten this round? Supposedly 15% of advisory is getting the boot... Expected more based on February FS layoffs
For anyone who was recently laid off: I just went though the hell that is “everything unemployment” related and made a cheat sheet on all I learned in the past month - hope this helps someone!
Is there any way your coworkers could know ahead of time if somebody and who is getting fired soon? Or is it impossible for staffs/seniors to know this?
Are any of the firms planning more layoffs? Any specific industries? Is it just lack of demand causing this?
How many of you are still unemployed from last year lay offs? Interested to learn more about folks who were laid off and what they are doing.
Is it weird that my CEO has not issued any communication to the company about the impact of the pandemic and what we are doing? Meanwhile, people are being laid off, furloughed and taking pay cuts.
Regarding layoffs, would anyone accept a pay cut to keep their current position? I wonder if that’s a viable solution when you have to cut costs, but also want to keep reasonably talented people.
Hi! I’m a senior graphic designer newly laid off looking for a new in-house creative position. Let me know, thanks
Those that exited as product managers, what were the top 3-5 things companies were looking for during interviews?
HELP My girlfriend and I were supposed to live together, but now because of corona I don’t have a job, and she is WFH. I live in a studio apartment, she lived with roommates so we decided that (cont)
No one goes trick or treating anymore. This holiday will be dead in 10 years. Everyone is too scared their kids are going to get kidnapped by clowns

How does renting work? Looking to rent a townhouse or house.. as the renter, if I have an agent help me do they get a commission from the property owner? In ATL suburbs if anyone has any advice for finding a place to rent. We want to buy but need a place ASAP. Thanks
Does OW and LEK work on general more hours than MBB? I heard they often crank up to 70-80 hours but don’t know if that’s just 1 person’s experience
What is the normal annual salary for a SBA lender at a traditional bank in one of the largest cities in southeastern US?
Should I be worried that my H1b transfer petition for my new employer will be filed ~1 week after my last day with my old employer?
Just had to share this because I feel so thankful and I’m so proud of my brother for being on the frontline and supporting the noble initiative of making the Covid-19 testing available to the Native American Communities in Chicago. ❤️💙 Expanded from testing 18 patients to a 100 patients per day in 15days. Despite the shitty arrangements that has been made by the hospital for his accommodation and food, he has been working 18 hours a day for this cause. No politics or abuse please. Just sharing🙏
Has anyone made a move after a few years in consulting (finance process) not technology to tech companies ? If yes, how ? Please share
interviewed with ACN (European office). Went really well - don’t have contact info to follow up other than the HR Shared Service team in China. How long would you wait before reaching out? CONT.
Have return offers for MBA interns at your firms been given out yet? What are base numbers looking like for this year?
My job start date got pushed back until the winter, so I’m trying to find a restaurant or retail job to pass the time until then. Does anyone have experience with tailoring a consulting/professional resume for a service position? I have minimal service experience but a few years of desk jobs and internships and I’m not exactly sure how to leverage it
