Honestly, that’s almost double what most entry level marketers make and you’ll have a big company on your resume right out of college. It’s silly to second guess this. Count yourself lucky and snag it. Don’t suffer like so many have to!
I think that’s a very good way to put it. Coming straight out of school this is an amazing offer. Struggling for a bit is totally worth it considering you’ll be much over it once your next job offers come through. My advice, don’t stay somewhere for too long. You want to make money? Get the experience, and then start applying right away - or at least stay open to opportunities. You’re starting your career with a strong BATNA which is only gonna help you in future negotiations. Best of luck, and congrats again!
Pro tip: Always negotiate! You’ll always wonder what could have been if you hadn’t and companies start with their lowest offer in anticipation of you negotiating.
Research the market rate for your area / the rate of your position according to Glassdoor and then provide a range of numbers to them that you’d like to get closer to!
Congrats! I struggled in my first job with my rent being that high. I really needed to watch my money and there was no way I could save. If you feel that there’s room for negotiation, go for it.
