Have an offer to join a fairly new family office investment team in PE buyouts but will be a fairly significant cash pay cut vs what I was making in tech corp dev. I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. I’m looking to move around the company so that I can make commission but I don’t want to be an account manager. Can anyone tell me if there are Customer Success Managers, etc positions that manage customers post sale and have a similar range base as me with commission plans? I’m just trying to understand income potential.

Thoughts on Specialist roles at McKinsey’s Knowledge Center in Boston? How do these roles vary in benefits/comp/progression compared to the traditional consulting peers? Since the roles are not client facing, sounds like a border line “exit” from consulting to me 😂

I was so excited to get an externship summer after 2L with a small business and IP firm only to get yelled at on the phone a few times for not doing an assignment correctly. What’s the best route to transition over and would I need to apply for entry level roles? Does an AD role with a UI/UX focus even exist?
