Hi, so I’ve been working as a (TCP temporary creative professional) while one of the agency’s employees was on leave. I understood it to be a FT position, clocking in, etc but last week a bunch of employees were on vacation and I didn’t get projects. My work from the week before was all approved, so I had no edits. I asked for work, reached out, etc but ended up with very few billable hours, which annoyed the bosses. Now I’m not sure how to proceed. Do I NGAF, clock in? Or wait for work?

Now i recently joined this new org in finance domain with business analytics as the role and everyday i think is this decision right! How do i know if this is good for me or it’s not! I just started like 1.5 months back and i am still thinking this. How do i evaluate, salary is okay bt I’m not getting that interest atleast for now plus i don’t have any offers too!

So I’ve been head hunted and jumping through hoops for 7 weeks. I was told this process would take 2. I love my current role and team but the new opportunity is pretty bad ass. It would require relocating but husband is on board and the career path the new opp sold me on is amazing. Really don’t want to pressure the new company or talk them out of an offer or anything but any ideas on how to speed this along? They said I’m the only candidate they’re considering 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m at the point that I start trembling every time I get an email alert. It’s the little things piling up that is getting to me. The to do list full of, “send emails to X about Y,” “follow-up re this,” “revise the 100 small things the baby lawyer drafted.” Tasks that might take 15 minutes to an hour individually, but all together it’s a lot. I’m the bottle neck. I’m the one who needs to move these things along. But there’s always something bigger and more urgent. Nothing’s ever FINISHED.

1-2 quarterly MBOs are part of my variable compensation. These MBOs are essentially contributions to the business or projects above and beyond standard SE responsibilities. Do MBOs typically come into play while you are getting fully ramped / onboarding, or the quarter after? Any great MBO / Project examples that others have completed?
