I was referred internally, and I’ve had 4 interviews so far (mix of formal and informal) over the past ~2 months. During the most recent call, I was told that I would next hear from an HR rep who manages offers / negotiations / location assignments. Since then, it’s been nearly 3 weeks without any response. Is this normal? We were moving really quickly, but this delay has taken the wind out of my sails

Tough time getting past final step: I’ve been trying to make a career shift for 10 months now and continue to get rejected at the last step. Im confident in the value I can provide and do well at presenting it. However, once it’s comes down to me and 1-2 other candidates, I repeatedly have been turned down for the person who has more relevant experience as they’re a safer bet for the employer. I’ve been working at a rather prestigious midsized firm in a big city for almost a year and a half now. I have been having a lot of trouble picking up work from senior partners. We are required to bill at least 150 hours per month to meet our requirement. My months are typically only 110-130 hours. It seems like the senior partners already have their “go to” associate for things. Does anyone have any suggestions on how i can increase my workload? I reach out for work pretty much weekly.
