Looking for a consultant position in healthcare consulting. I have an MBA with 5 years in the healthcare industry, 7+ years of strategic program/project management and I’m am lean six sigma green belt certified. Know of any companies currently hiring? (I am willing to travel. )

How many years of experience do you need to be considered post-MBA role at MBB? Additionally, is it common to see people come in as an experienced hire without an MBA?

Currently SM at Bain (4 years post MBA) and was approached for a senior associate role in portfolio ops at a large PE fund. Been told 2.5 years to VP and another 2.5 years to director. Feels like the role is a bit junior but offers a 50% pay jump.

Thoughts on seniority? Also, any interview resources for PE portfolio roles?

Desperately want to get into healthcare strategy consulting. 13 years of healthcare clinical experience including project work. MBA. But keep getting told by recruiters that I don't have enough experience to be a Consultant or Manager but that I have too much experience to enter in every level such as a Senior Associate. Just one rejection after another, even when applying with internal referrals from Director or Partner levels. What am I doing wrong?

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I start my journey of being more technical today. I am giving myself 2 yrs. I started a role doing IT controls, Identity and Access Management work. Has anybody successfully leveraged a job offer into better conditions at the incumbent firm? I.e. office transfers or better case opportunities - not compensation. Or do people get offers and take them as a matter of course?

I’m not naive or fresh out of law school, but I’m at a point where I’m saying to myself “Why can’t I have it all?” I’ve been offered a job for more pay and less hours and I keep thinking to myself, what’s the catch? I know people will say no promotion potential or that’s not how it works…but what if it could? What if you make yourself valuable by still setting your boundaries? Why would we resent someone who has that opportunity?
