Don't know if it's different in London, but here in Chicago it's...to put it mildly...not a great time to break into the ecosystem. If you're just starting your professional career, it's largely just a matter of applying to the right place at the right time and being able to sell yourself to an employer well. Admin cert will be required/minimum table stakes, and I'd suggest some of the general(BA, sales/service cloud) certs to help back up the case you make for yourself. If you're transitioning from another career, I'd lean into that experience heavily; were you previously an office admin that ran reports for your employer? Lean into and learn as much as you can about reporting/tableau/etc. Did you do fundraising for a nonprofit? Dig into nonprofit cloud and target firms that specialize in it. As a phone screener for my company, mid-career transitioning candidates that can tell a compelling story about how previous experience can be applied to being a Salesforce admin/consultant tend to be ones I pass to the next stage most often. The fresh/new/young candidates tend to largely be based on attitude/culture fit as much as anything. How that helps-good luck out there, it's not the golden days of just a few years ago out here!
Thank you! This certainly helps.
