Friend of mine was supposed to receive an offer (told verbally) from Deloitte and then just found out they are pausing on hiring the role. How common is that? Seems wildly unprofessional that none of the partners called and instead it was the recruiter conveying that news. There are many less experienced Devs who are solid on coding , and getting interviewed by them, sometimes I observe they know so much more.
