I've 3+ years of experience in Shipping industry and have pursued PGDM in Business Analytics prior to that.

Could anyone suggest how would one shift to consulting domain with out any prior experience. What all criteria one to fulfill to reach in a company like McKinsey or Kerney or Bain and be a consultant there?

First year (ug level hire) and got email from apple recruiter. Would love to exit to FAANG but not sure I'm ready to leave BCG in my first year but maybe after 2-4. What is best practice?

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. How is the talent experience (employee apps for time & expense, expense/travel policies, well being subsidy, stock options, etc) compared to what you’d find at D or EY? How do you find the quality of projects, and your role as a SC (which I understand is just “Consultant” at Accenture)? Worth making the jump or do you miss B4 life?

I have been a practicing (patent prosecution) lawyer in different firms for about 20 years. I would love to do something more creative but still techie (computers, telecom, apps, etc.). I've always been interested in improving the software that practicing lawyers use (whether patent-specific or not).
