About to be offered a position at Deloitte London as SC. Exp : ~9.
Visa sponsorship is needed. I foresee a possible negotiation on compensation from Deloitte.

Not sure of the estimate yet but I understand it would be 55-60k as per other fishes . Should I settle for a lower comp while employer pays one time sponsorship & migration costs or bear the migration costs self and chase a good salary . Which is better ?

Note : moving to UK with spouse and kid

I'm a PA in the PNW working for a private group staffing ED's in several hospitals. Recently the group has asked the PA's to take on a couple new roles (triaging and rapid track from triage i.e. straightforward ESI 4, 5). With these changes the PA's are considering asking for increased pay in the form of an addition of a COLA (cost of living adjustment) to our normal salary. Was wondering if any other PA's in the ED have these in their contracts and at what rate.

Just venting. College friend (same ethnicity but came to US with family as a kid) told me she might get a new job offer w a smaller firm, 50% pay bump. We currently work at comparable big firms but her pay is already higher than mine (hers include stocks, mine doesn’t). We did equally well in college & I know I’m just as smart. Can’t help but feel like my career’d have been much better if I did not need sponsorship. Smaller firms don’t sponsor so I work at a big firm but pay isn’t great 🙄

I accepted a 95k systems engineer role in VA with KBR and is currently going thru a clearance.(MAY START DATE)
Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. They also want to give me a clearance but it will start as an interim so I can work sooner than may. MY DILEMMA: Kbr states that they know I need money now so I can accept an offer with Northrop to see if I like it until may.BUT can I have 2 security clearances running at the same time?

How far in advance do you advise your assistant that you will need them to efile something? I get pushback from my assistant about not giving adequate notice when I tell her in the AM that I will need her to file something in the PM. For context, this is just a regular motion (not for SJ or anything complicated). Also, I always prepare my own exhibits and supporting documents, so I just need her to file the final PDFs. My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).

Hey folks, I'm getting an offer as a SC in EY UK. Presently I'm a manager with EY India (up for SM next yr Oct 2021). Comp is 55k range (haven't officially received the figure, a few more days it's expected, doing some homework before that).

I'll be moving with family. Wife may not immediately start working (,find a new job, we have a toddler daughter as well 2 YO).

I personally don't find this offer commercially attractive. Can someone offer some counter arguments?

Advice pls - was confirmed that Deloitte would be moving to offer approx 3 weeks ago. Offered lower than expected salary, asked for an increase and haven’t received any confirmation on the original or revised offer. Chased recruiter a few times only to receive a reply that its pending partner approval. Passed up a better offer in favour of getting into consulting and have another offer which I cannot afford to lose. Passed up offer 85k FNZ SC, current offer £80K Barclays VP, Deloitte -70k+6.7.

Nice bowl to avoid lowering the average in the US-centric threads. Anybody else finding that with the lack of pay rises this year, it’s become even harder to benchmark?
