Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

This job is a lot better if you don't care about the bonus and hours requirement. I can pretty easily bill 1700 hours annually and my firm so far hasn't cared in the slightest. Worrying about hitting 2000 hours for the bonus used stress me out so much, and I just don't think it's worth it. Base salaries are ridiculous and way more than enough to finance my lifestyle.

Can I send 20k per month to my parents who are not earning and generate a receipt and a avail full eligible HRA exemption? Is that possible and will there be any problem in future? If it's ok do my parents needs to show this income in IT portal since it's 2.4LPA? TIA.

The current company J am working in has lot of issues. And I want to switch.
