Should be higher than typical raise. I can’t say what’s a good counter, but for reference, when I was promoted from staff to senior, my pay bump was 22% several years ago (my title in fb hasn’t been updated btw).
I would say you should ask for at least 35 to 40 percent raise. You will get about 20% raise when you get promoted ( last year promotes got 25 to 35 percent) and then you want some premium to leave current firm.
Unless you really, really, really want to leave ASAP, I would not take this offer. Why would you take 6.5 percent now when you will be getting a 20 plus percent in 6 months by staying put?
S1 in M&A can make up to $180k at PwC.
Does it include bonus?
