If a firm has multiple openings that you’re interested in, is it a good or bad idea to apply to more than one position? I’m a third year interested in retooling from lit to general corp, but they prefer someone with 3+ years of corporate experience. They’re also looking for an M&A with 1+ years, so it may be easier to aim for that, but I’ve heard horror stories re WLB for M&A. Would still try it out tho bc I’m desperate to leave lit, but don’t want to make a faux pas. Any insights appreciated!

I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before. I am done with all round of TCS even started with a negotiation round too. First call HR said we can give you 16lpa including variables. I have tried to go for a fixed 16lpa. And now she says Management only afford 12lpa. Even at the same time she says you deserve 14-15lpa fixed as per market, the mangt can only afford 12lpa. Back to back call from HR. Doc verification started what it means? They have a good budget as far as I know from consultancy.

Ex:6 BA current CTC 8.5.
