It depends on the role, whether it is a generalist or specialist role. It is a big plus for most generalist roles, but for certain specialist roles, it could be viewed that you don't have the required depth/subject expertise.
Depends on the role. In general the field has too many generalists with a multi-disciplinary background, so it’s not perceived to be as valuable.
Specialist skills are more in demand. For example, it is significantly harder to find someone who knows every detail in Azure vs a strong generalist that understands cloud security/controls.
