How much a senior consultant earn in Deloitte?
I transferred firms to EY almost a year ago. I’m currently a SA1. I recently got my H1-B extension. Is it reasonable to assume that EY will start my GC application once I’ve been with the firm for a year? Or do I need to be at a higher rank or have less time left on my H1-B for them to get the process started?

Typically, firms don’t prefer to hire folks who don’t intend to stay long! That’s been my experience. So if you said you will only work until your OPT lasts, they see that as a red flag!

Yep. This is a constant debacle.
You should always choose ‘yes’ for sponsorship. No shortcuts or misinterpretations would work.
This is a common scenario or international folks where initial candidate screening is done.
Now, in your case you have to convince the HR and manager. Which might be tedious in some cases. They might accept you. You never know!

This seems like a communication breakdown more than anything else. If you put a lawyer on it tho- they might say you need the sponsorship to keep working past your OPT even if you don’t want to so you should’ve selected yes.
