I am a consulting analyst who would like to become an investment banking analyst. I have seen a lot of positions requiring candidates with 1-3 years experiences in IB. I have the skills to do the job requirements but have not got the opportunity to get an interview. Anyone who has been in the industry would like to share some tips or share the type of skills that will stand out when getting screened by HR for the first interview, please let me know. I just need 10 minutes of your time.

If I graduate in December and hope to start late Jan/Feb, when should I start applying to jobs? (This is for NYC and I’d be relocating from across the country, if it matters.)

I interviewed for a job a month ago. A few weeks after the interview, I was told my feedback was good, but the company was evaluating all positions at the company at this time. Today, I saw the job is no longer posted, but my application is still "active" in the workday system. Anyone have any idea what this would mean? I don't want to continuously bother the recruiter.

Our internal recruiter reached out to me asking about my LinkedIn connection who is a friend. I met with them for an initial conversation to promote our firm before sending them to the intro call with our recruiter. I plan to help walk them through the process as well.
