I keep getting calls and requests from headhunters from LinkedIn. I talk with them, send my resume, half the time I interview. Then nothing. I dont hear from anyone unless o reach out. Then it's a dead end. I'm fine with not progressing, but why don't the reach back out?
Are there any trainings/credentials you feel have given you an extra advantage when applying for jobs?
I'm interested in an open role at Google; the description mentions several in-office locations, one of which is in the city I live in. It also notes only one remote location- LA, California.
Does this mean working fully remote or even hybrid is not an option if not located in Cali? I know work preference can be discussed during the interview stage (if one gets to that point) but looking for insight on this.
I mistakenly mentioned a client name when I was talking about my product management skills. This was for a product manager role interview at Apple that focused on Customer support.
I instantly realized that I shouldn’t have done that but I didn’t say anything because the interviewer seemed to be unbothered but he wrote something down. Also he continued with the interview like nothing happened. Am I screwed???
I am consulting for a chain of hairdressers in Germany. It's incredible. They don't get employees! Question: what are the motivations of a stylist to apply for a job offer (different to salary and hours, that has already been analysed)?
The company I am interviewing with is very slow in progress. It is almost a month now and I still have another round of interview...feeling anxious as I wouldn't able to leave until end of October. I am in public accounting. Is it bad (burning relationships) leaving so close to busy season?

Have the loop with Microsoft in 2 days for supply chain program manager. What are the typical questions they ask? I had interviewed back in Feb but did not get any feedback after the loop so don’t know what I did right and what I could do better. Thanks!

Anybody transition from Audit to Advisory within the same firm? 1) Who did you contact and did you have to interview? 2) how was the overall process? 3) was there a salary adjustment?

🐠: if I am searching for a 2nd lateral within 2-3 months bc the initial move was a poor (*^%!) choice, what are the magical elegant words of neutrality and diplomacy to state in an interview?
Could anyone help me understand the levels for SEM role in Comcast Engineering Center India?
I attended a couple of rounds of interviews for Software Engineering Manager 1 (as the JD said) on a quick schedule and wonder if I should have asked next level instead.

Just want to say that I've learned a lot in this bowl! Really grateful for people posting questions, do's and don'ts and for the community responding!

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.
I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."
Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.
Ever since moving to hybrid work, my coworkers are always complaining about how much they hate their jobs, how much of a hassle it is to travel or work from home. How can you be expected to do your job when you're just so far away from everything?
*If anyone actively looking for a job, i can refer you in cognizant.
Just go to career page and let me know the Job ID number.
I will help you.*
Tuesday Profound Thought:
My first year teaching, 30+ years ago, I once forgot to tell my seniors at the end of class, “Have a good day! See you tomorrow!” and a student noticed. She said I was the only person in her life to tell her that. I’ve never forgotten since & I still think of her 3 decades later.
Ladies any recommendations on buying louboutin or valentinos rockstuds. My sister just passed the bar and I want to give her one of these brands. What's your feedback if you own any or is there another luxuary brand I should consider .

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap? I don’t have my side business listed on my resume because I don’t feel like I have enough positive “stats” to report yet given it’s new. Any advice or recommendations?
I have been interviewing for a sales role at a BMW dealership, but I'm concerned about the economy. Is now a bad time to get into automotive sales?
Currently looking for an outside sales position in Massachusetts.
I have 7 years experience in sales. But I am relocating from North Carolina to Massachusetts.
Would anyone happen to know any great companies hiring?
A majority of my experience is in the logistics and logistics technology side of sales. I’ve been working remotely doing over the phone/ zoom demo sales. But I would love the opportunity to service my clients in person!
Is it a red flag if, after almost two years in a full quota carrying and selling role I want to take a lower role at another company in order to break into a field (tech sales) I want to work in? It’s better pay - closer to home and at a company with a better reputation?
I'm shameless! Who wants to hire me? Full cycle corporate and commercial real estate sales rep who wants to get into BDR/SDR roles. #ninja
Hi Gang, really feeling the burnout a bit heavy now after ~5 years in SaaS and Consulting Sales. What are some of the most transferable roles AEs can move to post sales?
My role was just eliminated, and I need to replace it quickly. I have a solid lead on a new job but based on the job description I think it’s gonna be a lot less than I was making. I’ve seen people on one of the bowls mention working 2 full time jobs, like in different time zones or countries. Does anyone have any concrete advice on how to start that process? Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
Anyone know of any places hiring in Anchorage, AK that won't completly write me off as a potentional canidate due to a background check? I've been in customer service/retail sales for 20+ years now in many different industries and I'm great at it. Unfortunately my one mistake I made while helping in-laws and supporting my family is biting me in the ass. Seems like every job I'm a perfect fit for says no once they go on CourtView without letting me even explain why I have what's there.
How would you suggest dealing with a toxic boss? They gossip and seem to purposely be vague about critical information, likely so they can't be held accountable.
I’ve been looking for months for a job, part time preferably. I have had no jobs prior but I am willing to learn! I start school in January but I’d love to get my foot in the door and start working. Is there any great jobs hiring no experienced people?
I’m going to be making an exit soon to a company that’s working hard to recruit me in. I’m in an AE position. I’d be forfeiting $18k in RSUs vesting, President’s club, and $200k+ in pipeline if I do move. I’m inclined to leave because this would be a step up in a role and I really like the team.
My question is: is it reasonable to ask for a $40k sign on bonus to account for what I’m leaving here? How do you go about negotiating that?
7 year experience teacher looking to transfer to remote position. Looking for 65-70k a year. The job does not have to be fully remote. I would be okay with presentations and meetings in person. My main thing would be flexibility.
Hey FishBowl Friends, so I’m currently trying to break into tech sales/FinTech and I feel that due to my previous work history, I might not look like the ideal candidate on paper but I’m an extremely fast learner and very coachable. I’ve been a manger at a gym, got my degree in finance, worked as a client advisor at a top 3 auto dealer in the nation and now I’m a project manager at a solar company. I really want something that’s remote and steady, any recommendations on how to spruce myself up?
