I am a self-taught Excel user who has reached the limits of what those around me can help teach me, and the limit of knowing how to word what I am trying to do to be able to find an Excel tutorial for help. My boss has offered to pay for Excel classes, and I am more of hands on learner, so I need a class that also provides practice documents. Any suggestions for quality, thorough online Excel classes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If a firm has multiple openings that you’re interested in, is it a good or bad idea to apply to more than one position? I’m a third year interested in retooling from lit to general corp, but they prefer someone with 3+ years of corporate experience. They’re also looking for an M&A with 1+ years, so it may be easier to aim for that, but I’ve heard horror stories re WLB for M&A. Would still try it out tho bc I’m desperate to leave lit, but don’t want to make a faux pas. Any insights appreciated!

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? How can I add multiple characteristics within one cell and make sure that a pivot table can read both values independently if needed? E.g., I have a column titled “color” and in one cell I write “red” and the other “red, blue”. I’d like a pivot table / formula to be able to count that there are technically two “reds” in this data set. Any tips?

For a linear regression analysis… the equation of a line is Y=MX+B, where M is the slope. So if I’m measuring a line across 365 days and M=.2, can I say that I have increased production by 20% over a year. Or is production increasing 20% each day?

My goal is I have multiple look up values in one cell (separated by comma) and I need it to look up those values and return values from another table which also may have multiple values (separated by comma) anyone know how to do that? I played around with power query today but it wasn’t giving me what I wanted

Hello. Quick question about formatting. I have an excel sheet with bunch of negative numbers, but some are percentage values and some are dollar values. Is there a way to make all of them have a parenthesis for being negative while keeping them still percentage and dollar value separately or do I have to target them separately?

Best way to lookup a value with multiple criteria across rows and Columns, for 3 criteria I usually do sum product. Any other tips?
